Custom Apparel Terms and Conditions
As a customer of New Graphic Effects purchasing custom apparel or decals, you agree to be bound by the following policies, terms and conditions:
Turnaround Time
Standard turnaround time is 3-5 business days after receipt of payment. In some cases 5-7 business days may be needed for delivery of specific apparel. Customer will be notified at time of payment if the increase in turnaround time is required beyond the 3-5 / 5-7 days. Rush production is available upon request for most products and services for which additional fees apply.
Rush Orders
Rush orders are available and may be subject to a 35%-50% upcharge, depending on the product and printing options. Contact us for current rush production availability.
Minimums
There are no minimums on screen printing orders. However, it is always more cost efficient for customers to order larger quantities.
Payment
For orders totaling more than $350.00 (before shipping), a 50% down payment is required to begin printing. For orders under $350.00 (before shipping), full payment is required to begin printing. All payment options available as stated above. We accept Cash, Checks, PayPal and all major credit or debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express). Orders paid by check will not proceed until the check has cleared the bank. A $25 NSF fee will apply to any returned checks. Shipping is a separate charge and will be added to the order at time of shipping. If any payments remain outstanding after 72 hours of an order being received by the customer, that order is subject to a weekly interest charge of 10% of the total invoice amount due per week, including shipping, until payment is received. Weeks run Sunday to Saturday.
Sales Tax
CA sales & Use tax applies to all finished products. Setup, design and shipping fees are not subject to sales tax. Sales tax applies to customers located in CA or to orders being shipped or picked up in CA.
Resellers / Brokers
You must provide a copy of your current valid State Resale Certificate. For wholesale pricing and information please contact us.
Artwork
Artwork may be submitted by customer or created by New Graphic Effects. For artwork to be accepted as is and ready for print, art must be submitted at 300dpi resolution or higher and sized to actual print size. Vector files are always preferred. Acceptable formats include EPS, PSD, AI and PDF. For artwork submitted that is not ready for print, an hourly or one-time fee may apply to make your artwork ready for screen printing. We can create custom artwork for your job at an additional fee. All fees for artwork will be disclosed as an estimate to the customer before production. Payment for artwork is required before artwork is produced when payment has not been made in full for a screen printing order.
Art Approval / Order Proofing / Mock-Ups
For each order, New Graphic Effects will submit a proof or mock-up for customer approval. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that all information on the proof or mock-up is correct. If an error is found after your order has been approved and printed, New Graphic Effects will not be held liable for the cost associated with reprinting the order. New Graphic Effects assumes no liability for errors in designs approved by the customer. New Graphic Effects will not be responsible for corrections not implemented and/or requested after artwork approval. Any modifications requested after customer approval will result in production delays and additional expenses for which the client will be invoiced accordingly. Please be aware that mock-ups are not exact representations of what your product will look like. Size of the print will stay consistent as size of the product changes unless otherwise instructed. Please thoroughly inspect and review your proof or mock-up for mistakes and spelling errors. Remember we are graphic designers and are not perfect.
Screen Setup Fees
Screen setup fees are for the rental and preparation of the screen for a particular print job. Payment of screen setup fees does NOT constitute the purchase of a screen. For our “permanent” screen option, customer does not own the screen, we are simply creating a screen that will not be washed out and will be available on demand for future orders. New Graphic Effects will continue to check with the customer as time goes on to verify permanent screen is still needed. If after two instances of not hearing back from the customer, New Graphic Effects will wash out the screen and further orders will require a new setup fee.
Manufacture Defects
New Graphic Effects will not be held responsible for garment inconsistencies related to size, shape or construction. We suggest ordering extra garments to account for such defects.
Print Locations & Print Size
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide details as to print placement and size. If no details are provided, New Graphic Effects will print in a standard location (i.e., chest print logo under 6” to start 4” under bottom collar on unisex shirt).
Specific Measurements When Printing
There is no way to effectively and efficiently measure a distance on each garment as it is loaded onto a press by hand. If you request a garment be in a specific location (i.e., 2” down from the collar), we will use that as a guide and do our best to make sure that all garments hit that target, but not all garments will hit exactly as requested. Garments may be off by as much as one and half inches in any direction. This will not be considered a misprint, and New Graphic Effects will not reprint or refund these garments. Anything over an inch and a half from desired placement will be considered for a reprint, but not a refund.
Color Accuracy
Due to variances in computer monitors and printers, colors in an artwork proof or mock-up are not true to the finished product. If you want a specific color match, please specify the color by providing either a physical sample or listing a corresponding Pantone Ink color (PMS color) on your purchase order. Additional color matching fees apply.
Estimates / Proposals / Quotes
Estimates, quotes, proposals, etc. will expire. Please reference the specific expiration date noted on all estimates, quotes, proposals, etc. Estimates, quotes, proposals, etc. are subject to change upon review of submitted artwork.
Customer Supplied Materials
Customer-supplied materials are subject to an industry standard 2% misprint allowance. Any misprints will be credited as a print owed and not as an item owed. Though we try to print as perfect as possible, mistakes happen. New Graphic Effects will not be responsible for misprinted customer-supplied garments in the amount of 10% of garments supplied. Any misprinted customer-supplied garments will be reprinted free of charge upon receiving new unprinted garments from the customer.
Printed Samples
Pre-production printed samples area available upon request for an additional fee. New setup fees may apply if the sample is not printed to customer standards and new screens are required for production.
Changes to Order after Approval & Payment
Any changes made to your order not due to a stock issue on behalf of the stock suppliers will be subject to a change fee in addition to additional costs to make the changes. Any changes to your order after it has been placed will delay your order, even if you have paid a rush fee and/or have given us a required date. It is very important that you do not place your order until you are certain that’s what you want.
Mistakes and Misprints
In the event New Graphic Effects is responsible for a mistake in order production or fulfillment, the misprinted items will be reprinted at no additional cost. New Graphic Effects will not offer refunds for mistakes or misprints. If customer must ship misprints back to New Graphic Effects, we will provide you with a UPS label and cover all shipping costs. New Graphic Effects will not be held responsible for any shirts sold or given away prior to returning the order.
Shipping
Orders requiring shipping will be shipped using USPS or UPS standard unless otherwise requested. Shipping time is additional to turnaround time. Please consider this when placing time sensitive orders. Customers wishing to use their shipping account must make note during order placement. New Graphic Effects will not be held responsible for any shipping delays caused by the shipping company.
Packaging
Unless other arrangements have been made, all jobs will be shipped in bulk packaging. Individual bagging, tagging, sorting, labeling and folding are available upon request. Additional fees may apply.
Cancellations
To cancel your order, refund amounts are determined based on the status of the order’s production. Refunds may be subject to applicable return shipping and/or restocking fees. Orders may NOT be cancelled if printing of the garments has begun. Should a stop payment be issued on a payment method after the order was approved and paid, customer will be billed accordingly based on the order’s production status. That order will also be subject to a weekly interest charge of 10% of the total invoice amount per week, including shipping, until payment is received. Weeks run Sunday to Saturday.
Claims & Returns
All claims must be made within 72 hours from receipt of order. Please email or call us immediately if there are any errors or problems with an order. Once notified, we will do everything we can to take care of any issues in a timely manner. If it is determined that you need to return products to New Graphic Effects for inspection or to be reprinted, the product must be returned within 1 business weeks of the stated claim. If items are returned after this timeframe, the shipment will be denied and the package will be sent back to you unless prior arrangements have been made.
Disclaimers
New Graphic Effects reserves the right to refuse service without explanation. We reserve the right to change pricing and terms without notice. New Graphic Effects is committed to protecting your privacy. We will not sell, trade, rent or disclose any information that identifies you to a third party without your prior approval. We may use the information we collect to periodically notify you about new services or special offers we think you’ll find valuable.
